Success has followed Peter W Smith around throughout his 55 year involvement in the Dental Technology industry and that remains very much the same with his present laboratory.

Acodent Dental Laboratory based at Genesis House, Little Lever, Bolton is the largest full service laboratory in the country. Situated in premises of 12,000 sp. ft. and employing some 90+ people. Peter is very proud of the companies achievements and remembers fondly how it all began.

"It was in the spare bedroom of our semi-detached house" he recalls with a smile. "I wasn't sure how the family would react but when I told them of my idea and they saw how serious I was, they gave me their full and unconditional support, and continue to do so".

As well as family support, Peter has developed a team of Managers to assist him running the laboratory and the majority of Technicians employed have started under Peter's tuition, developed through the business and share Peter's ethos of producing nothing but the best product and service.

Acodents' success is not just known to its employees but also to the community of Little Lever, becoming the largest employer in the village and support many community events including sponsoring the local Junior Football Team.
